About Flighted Pages

Flighted Pages is an independent, queer, trans, and disabled owned and operated publishing press based in Australia. We seek to amplify underrepresented voices within the Australian and international literary landscape, with a focus on queer and disabled creators. If our purpose or values does not reflect your own, please consider approaching another press.

Our Values

  • The authentic expression of the artistic experience is key to our identity. We believe, as both creators and publishers, that the process of creation is an experience uniquely human and should not be violated. As such, we promise that all pieces published, all services offered, and all our processes are done by real people.  

    There has never been, and will never be, Artificial Intelligence used in the operations or publications of this Press. Works submitted that have used Generative AI at any stage of the creation process will not be accepted.  

  • Diversity in stories, experiences, and lives should be celebrated at every opportunity. As artists from underrepresented communities, we understand the importance of diverse representation in media and seek to fill the gaps in the literary landscape. We will always maintain a respect for all people and firmly reject discrimination of any sort.  

  • We believe that everyone should have the opportunity to have their voices and stories shared.  We will always work with artists to ensure that suitable accommodations are made throughout the publication process so that none are prohibited from publication due to societal and structural barriers.  

  • Integrity is critical to ensuring that we as a publisher, and our associated artists, all adhere to our values and purpose. We will not contribute to, support, or promote projects and businesses that do not align with our values.
